The XF Training Club was started to prepare for future clan wars, and to rekindle interest in training and bonding together as a clan and as a community.

Training is NOT just for the new or weak players. It's for EVERYONE who seeks to be stronger and surpass himself or herself. Training is just as useful for the newbie as well as for the seasoned fighter who has hit a plateau in advancing and improving his or her skills.

FAQs

Q: What is training?

A: Training is a term used loosely to include the following:

sparring - practice on sharpening and honing skills,
coaching - instruction and guidance on groundwork
fortifying - work on concentration and mental strength
priming - preparation and planning ahead of clan war fixtures

Q: How do we train?

A: Normally coaching, with a trainer and trainee, takes place on a 1on1 basis.

Sparring between partners can be anything from 1on1, 2on1 or even 2on2.

Training programs will be scheduled every month, with each month focusing primarily on 1 or 2 characters in SFO.

Currently, for the month of December, we are focusing on Ryu/Ken Training

Q: Where do we train?

A: Our favored server is "SFO Haven" server. The backup and training servers are good training grounds as well. The "Immortal" server is normally overcrowded.

Q: Can I join?
A: As long as you are an official XF member, YES! Please do.

Q: Can I quit?

A:

Ok, actually you can, of course. We don't force this on anyone either in joining or quitting.

Just remember, at the end of it all, WE WANT TO HAVE FUN

And that will always be most important to all of us at the Training Club.

To be a member, please post in here to register. Please don't PM any trainer on your accord.

If you have NOT posted here, you are NOT a member of the Training Club. That is, an XF clan member is NOT automatically a Training Club member. He or she must post in here first.

Your active participation and involvement here will also reflect positively upon your dedication and commitment towards the XF cause.

Consider joining us as a member first then.

There isn't much of a divide between a trainer and member.

A trainer has to devote more of his or her time to training.

Since I believe you are busy with your studies, being a member might be better as it won't require you to commit and expend as much time and effort in the club.

We like to emphasise here at the Training Club, that training is NOT just training. (Read the answer to first question for its technical aspects)

More importantly, it's also about bonding together as a clan.

The time we spend training together would also enable us to know one another better and form and forge binidng and lasting friendships that would unite us a clan.

That could be said to be the true underlying purpose for setting up this training club in the first place.

Training programs targeting specific characters have yet to be decided or set up pending discussion with the trainers.
